Basics of modal analysis
Lecture
The theory material provides a technical and theoretical introduction to the subject area of modal analysis. Basic mechanical principles and the modal transformation are introduced and explained.
Experimental modal analysis
Lecture + exercise material
The essential steps and possibilities of modal analysis are described and consolidated by means of theoretical principles. Challenges and possible sources of error are shown by means of examples and common solution strategies are taught.
Simcenter Testlab Software
Software incl. documentation, exercise-related instructions and data package
Numerical modal analysis
Lecture + exercise material
The package includes theoretical modeling assumptions, the necessary mathematical foundations, and the description of the numerical simulation environment.
